COUNSELING

Between Friends' Women and Children's Program helps women to cope with the trauma of living with abusive relationships, or to heal from past abusive relationships. Counselors encourage women to explore their options and make their own decisions in order to build a safe future for themselves and their children.

  • Individual counseling sessions offered in a safe and welcoming environment
  • Weekly support groups offer the chance to seek support from women in similar situations
  • Art Therapy
  • Daytime and evening appointments available
  • Childcare available when mothers are in session
  • Phone counseling available for those unable to come to the office
  • All counselors are Masters level social workers
  • Counselors provide comprehensive case management
  • No fee for services
Between Friends recognizes that children are dramatically impacted by the abuse they witness, or experience, in their home. Our Women and Children's Program offers them the chance to explore their feelings, build self-esteem, and learn conflict resolution skills in a safe and therapeutic setting.
  • One-on-one and group sessions
  • Integrates play therapy and art therapy to help children voice their experiences
  • Children's groups run concurrently with women's counseling groups, for ease in scheduling
  • No fee for services
